Attendance goes into the register, but parents never hear about it
In most coaching centres, attendance still means a paper register and a roll call. A few minutes go at the start of every batch, the register stays with one teacher, and finding out how many days a student has missed means turning pages and counting.
Parents usually find out much later. If a child left home for coaching but never reached the class, someone in the office has to phone each guardian one by one. Once batches and students grow, those calls stop happening, and the complaint arrives only when exam results come in low.
Online classes add more work. Someone has to keep a separate list of who joined the link, and at the end of the month every register and list has to be matched up to get the attendance count.

Course admins take attendance for their own courses directly in Biddaan. There is no register to lose, and every record is stored against the student.

When a student is recorded present or absent, an SMS goes out on its own. You choose who gets it (present only, absent only or both) and when (immediately or at a set time of day).

How do I take digital attendance in Biddaan?
In three ways. Course admins can take attendance directly in the system, attendance can come in automatically from ZKTeco or Tipsoi biometric devices, and in online courses opening the live class link records attendance.
When does the attendance SMS go to parents?
The SMS goes to the student's or guardian's mobile on its own when a student is recorded present or absent. You can choose whether it is sent for present students only, absent students only or both, and whether it goes immediately or at a set time of day.
We already have a ZKTeco or Tipsoi machine. Can we use it?
Yes. Both device families connect to Biddaan. Once students are mapped to the device, its attendance is synced regularly, new punches are checked every 10 minutes while a class is running, and entries that cannot be matched are kept aside for an admin to review.
How do I get the monthly attendance report?
Attendance reports can be filtered by course, batch, date range or a single student. One student's attendance for the whole month can be pulled out on its own, which helps before talking to a guardian.
Can we track teacher and staff attendance too?
Yes. Staff attendance is a separate module that can be used when it is enabled on your subscription. Staff see their own records, and admins see staff attendance reports and set working hours.
