For coaching centres

Automatic SMS notifications for fee payments, due reminders and attendance

A confirmation when a fee is paid, a present or absent update when attendance is recorded, and a due fee reminder before the deadline: Biddaan sends these SMS to the student's or guardian's mobile on its own. For everything else, send a bulk SMS to a batch or a chosen list, and see in the report which messages were delivered.

The problem

The news gets out, but through one-by-one calls and hand-typed messages

A coaching centre has something to tell someone every day. Which student did not come today, whose fee has been paid, whose monthly fee is still due, which batch has an exam tomorrow. In most places this news goes out as phone calls from the office, or as messages typed one at a time on someone's own mobile.

Once students and batches grow, this work stops happening on time. Parents hear about an absence days later. After paying a fee, a guardian cannot be sure the payment has been recorded. And due fees have to be chased on the same phone, through calls nobody wants to make.

Even after sending, questions remain. Did the message actually arrive, who was left out, how many SMS went out this month? There is no organised record of any of it.

  • Phoning the home of each absent student
  • Telling guardians separately after a fee is paid
  • Awkward calls to remind about due fees
  • No record of which messages arrived
The solution

In Biddaan, the essential SMS go out on their own, and the rest from one place

Automatic SMS when something happens

A payment confirmation SMS when an admission fee, monthly fee or due is paid, a present or absent SMS when attendance is recorded, and a due fee reminder before the deadline. Nobody has to remember to send them.

Attendance SMS on your rules

You choose who gets the attendance SMS (present only, absent only or both) and when (immediately or at a set time of day). With a ZKTeco or Tipsoi device, absent students get their SMS automatically after the batch ends.

Your own templates in Bangla or English

Each type of automatic SMS has a template you can write your own way, and whether automatic SMS go in Bangla or English is set for your institution. Bulk SMS text can be drafted with AI.

Delivery reports and SMS balance

See total sent, delivered and failed SMS by date in the report. The dashboard shows your remaining SMS credits, and an alert comes when the balance runs low.

How this feature works

  1. Keep student details

Keep contact details and guardian information in each student profile, then enroll students in courses and batches.

  2. Set the automatic SMS rules

Choose who gets the attendance SMS and when, and edit the SMS templates for payments, attendance and reminders to suit your centre.

  3. Send bulk SMS when needed

Send an exam routine, results or a holiday notice to a batch, to selected guardians or to a list imported from CSV, all at once.

  4. Check the report and balance

Use the SMS report to see which messages were delivered and which failed, and watch your remaining credits on the dashboard to request more in good time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which SMS does Biddaan send automatically?

SMS go out on three kinds of events. A payment confirmation SMS when an admission fee, monthly fee or due is paid, an attendance SMS when a student is recorded present or absent, and a due fee reminder before the payment deadline. Anything else can be sent as a bulk SMS.

Who receives the SMS, the student or the guardian?

To the student's or the guardian's mobile, or both. Attendance SMS can also go to the guardian from the digital attendance system.

Can SMS be sent in Bangla?

Yes. The Biddaan team sets whether your institution's automatic SMS go in Bangla or English. Each type of automatic SMS has a template you can write your own way, and bulk SMS text can be drafted with AI.

How do I know an SMS was delivered?

The SMS report shows the number of SMS sent, delivered and failed, and can be filtered by date range. Each record shows whether the gateway accepted or rejected the message and whether it used a masked or non-masked sender ID. Credits for rejected SMS are refunded automatically later.

What do I do when SMS credits run low?

Your remaining SMS credits are always visible on the dashboard, and an alert comes when the balance runs low. A request for more credits can be sent from the platform itself, so you can add credits in good time.
